I know, I know, “Gettin’ Hitched” is a bit of a tacky statement to put on my blog. Amanda & Jon just happen to be very good friends of mine and they couldn’t rock at life any more than they alreday do! Humor is a staple of their relationship, so I know they’ll get a kick out of it. Just to clear things up, they are far from tacky 🙂
The other day, which happened to be the hottest, most humid, windiest, grossly sticky day of the week, Amanda, Jon and I were scheduled to shoot part two of their engagment photographs. All I wanted to do was set up a light to combat the pesky mid-day sun, but the wind and lack of an assistant that day prevented that and made me mad. We managed to get a few gems anyway. We also snapped a few last January – you can check those out here.
I’ve had a blast helping with many photographic and design elements of their wedding – including the engagement photos, save-the-dates, invites, and their guest book. Their wedding is only three weeks away! (Yay – I’m so excited!) I will be there on the big day to capture every little detail and moment. Can’t wait!
Work it Mandy!!
I was so excited to meet with Krista & David, proud parents of sweet little Aiden to discuss their newborn photos. Krista is the sister of a very good friend and she and her husband happened to be in town from Chicago for a few weeks following the birth of their son. When we met for coffee, we ended up hanging out and gabbing much longer after talking photos. Krista and David are a very cool couple and I really enjoyed talkin life with them! We decided to capture Aiden’s photos outdoors (awesome!!) and chose the beautiful flower garden near Lake Harriet. Adorable Aiden is featured below!
Doesn’t his cute little face make you melt?!?
I love this moment. Kristen’s daughter Lily had just finished getting ready and headed over to say hello.
And a look at the stunning bride, Kristen!
