My friend Marie sent me a link to this awesome site today that was featured on the Today Show, so I decided to do a second Show & Tell for the week 🙂
I’ve already laughed and teared up all in the matter of a minute of reading, but I’m in love. Enjoy!
I’m glad I never stayed in between the lines when I was a kid either.
Any idea where them dinosaur shorts are at?
Thank you for everything we had.
Last week, my friend Amanda and I had a chance to volunteer at the Loring Community School’s Kid’s Cook event. This garden is in a schoolyard and creators of the program, Robin, Starla & Susan volunteer their time to plant, harvest and cook each year with any neighborhood children who would like to join. They are working to promote healthy eating among youth by teaching them how they can create their own organic, healthy food. These ladies are amazing, let me tell you.
The night Amanda and I were able to join in the fun, the kids had harvested several types of greens, peas, and veggies and were working to create some tasty salads for their meal.
The program was being honored that night by the state for promoting a safe & healthy environment with the Wellness by Design Gold Award. Way to go!!!
Yes, there are hens that lay eggs!!!! By far the coolest garden I’ve ever seen!
Next, Robin demonstrated how to make a yummy peach salad while explaining about all of the ingredients and teaching how to prepare them. The kids dove right in to helping!
Time to eat!!!
After the meal, it was time for some fun. Strawberry races were an intense but fun activity that all the kids did such a great job doing!!
Please head to the Kids Cook website for more info and consider volunteering! Help is always needed and appreciated! Thanks Kids Cook for letting me be a part of your day!
The day of the wedding arrived and it couldn’t have been more gorgeous outside. As the bride and groom showed up separately as not to see each other before the ceremony, excitement grew, dresses were laced up, and suit coats were buttoned. Many a story was passed around and laughter was everywhere. I knew it was going to be one of those wedding where you just can’t help but have a blast.
Guests began to arrive at the beautiful Saphire Estates as the bridal party toasted the bride & groom. The sun was shining as Dan took his spot in the front of the crowd and gasps were heard as the stunning Tia and her father walked down the aisle. . .
Everyone headed inside after the ceremony to the beautifully decorated ballroom ready to have a great time!
The reception began with some amazing speeches by Dan’s sister Lindsay and brother Mike, followed by the touching toast by maid of honor, Sheena.
The dance began a bit later and boy, did this group of people know how to party!!
Dan & Tia – I cannot begin to express how much fun I had with you guys over your wedding weekend. I’m honored to be the person you chose to capture your moments and happy to call you friends!! Congratulations again and nothing but the best to your future together!!!
