Fall Sessions are quickly approaching!!!!  This Saturday, Oct. 1, are the Minneapolis Sessions and Saturday, October 15 are the Fargo Sessions!!!!  I’m extremely excited for both and there are spots available!!  If you’ve been on the fence about whether or not to partake, here’s a little peek at some of last years highlights.  I’ll be incorporating some amazing furniture so it should be fantastic!

in•spi•ra•tion:  a divine influence directly and immediately exerted upon the mind and soul

Isn’t that beautiful?  I love that definition.  ‘A divine influence’ – where does it come from?  I think for everyone there is a different answer.  I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately about inspiration and how it influences my life in photography and in the everyday.  I love that feeling that washes over you when you see, hear, feel, taste, touch, experience something that inspires you.  It’s like a joyful epiphany of “I’ve never looked at it that way” and I crave it when it comes to my art.

Yesterday, I made a cup of Yogi tea and there is always a quote on the little paper piece on the end of the string.  Here was my quote, “The universe is a stage on which your mind dances with your body, guided by your heart”.  Again, LOVE!!

For anyone who knows me, I’m usually living up in the clouds – basically, I’m a dreamer.  I’m trusting and a tad naive, sometimes to the point where it gets me in trouble.  I try to see the best in people.  I don’t keep up with politics or the heavy world issues because honestly it makes me way too sad.  I just do my best to live a life I’m proud of and be a good person to others.  So when I saw this quote, it hit home.  I’m a very visual thinker so I literally imagine my soul dancing on the universes stage.  There went that little inspired feeling . . .

Ok, so getting to the point, I’ve decided to do a little giveaway to anyone who may come across and view this.  I shared a quote that inspired me and I’d like you to do the same.  Here’s how it’ll work:

1)  Find a unique way to display a quote that inspires you  or makes you smile – I’m not the craftiest person, so this is what I came up with.  Not too exciting, but you people out there in internet land I’m sure can come up with something more inspiring (pun intended!!)  Think outside of the box!!!  {If you are not crafty, don’t worry, write it down on a piece of paper – I don’t judge 🙂 }

2)  Once you’ve concieved your idea and carried it out to all it’s awesomeness, take a photo of it!  Doesn’t have to be professional – use a point & shoot or even your phone.

3) Email it to [email protected] with “inspiration” in the subject line.

4) That’s it!!  You’re entered!  This contest will run starting today (Sept. 26) through Sunday (Oct 2).  Next Monday, I will post all of the photo entries I recieved on my blog and will randomly choose one winner!!!  Oh, and to make things even juicier, you may enter once a day!  Just come up with a new unique quote and way to display.

So I suppose you would like to know what swag you’ll be winning?  I came across the amazing Nicole’s Etsy store, Wayfaring Art, via a fellow photographer and absolutely fell in love with her beautiful handmade journals!  I will be sending this gorg little guy to the winner.

Here are the stats:  a luscious 4×6 handmade leather journal with silk ribbon bookmark, 200 handtorn-with-love white pages and a leather cord to hold all your secrets and inspirations inside.

Ugh, it’s just pure beauty.  PLEASE head to Wayfraring Art’s Etsy Page to browse the other journals and jewelry.  You will be amazed by her talent!!
