Last fall, Jules contacted me with a great idea. It was her husband’s birthday (I won’t tell how many, Franz! haha) and she wanted to give him portraits of their boys and herself. Obviously, I thought this idea was fantastic! Jules and the boys hadn’t had portraits taken in quite a while so it was a treat for me to be able to help them out. The Como Zoo in St. Paul created the perfect backdrop for our little adventure. After all hair was in place exactly where it needed to be [gotta love teenagers :-)] we laughed our way through it!
I was told later that Franz, Jules’ husband was very pleased and surprised by the gift – mission accomplished!
Here’s Jules – isn’t she gorgeous?!?
. . . and the boys.
Jake & Allison are one of those couples you envy. They met and soon after knew that they were meant to be together. They share interests and compliment each others personalities perfectly. When they got engaged and asked me to photograph their wedding, I was instantly excited. They are incredibly fun and I knew their wedding would be one for the books.
When I arrived at Allison’s buzzing household the morning of the wedding, Allison’s daughter, Lauren, bounced up to me with excitement and insisted I come see her dress. After Allison, Lauren and the ladies were ready, we headed to meet up with the gentlemen where we proceeded to have a blast taking photos. This group was so full of energy and we even squeezed in some super fun shots with cigars! The day proceeded beautifully and a time was had by all well into the night! Congrats Jake & Allison!!

This strapping young man is Derek. He will be graduating high school in a few short months and he couldn’t be more excited. With plans of college and independence loom in the near future, I felt it was time to share a few of his senior photos from last summer. They are a great reminder to him to cherish the last few months of high school before the next chapter and perhaps they call up a few memories for the rest of us. Congratulations Derek!!
